Frederick D. Peters, CPA, MST - Tax Accountant
Fred’s history with the firm dates back to 1980, when he became its first employee as an auditor and tax preparer. Fred continued in that position through 1987. After working several years for GE Railcar as a senior tax accountant, Fred returned to J.S. Richter, Ltd. to run its tax department, while at the same time starting his own practice as an international tax specialist. Today Fred works primarily with our individual tax clients as a preparer in addition to acting as tax consultant to the firm.
Fred earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Loyola University, became a CPA in 1979 and earned a Master’s degree in taxation (MST) from DePaul University in 1984.
Fred is a member of the AIPCA and the Florida Institute of Public Accountants, where he has served on several committees.
While originally from Chicago, he and his wife Linda decided they had enough of the cold winters and in 1998 headed south to Florida where they reside today. In his spare time, Fred enjoys an occasional round of golf as well as traveling throughout the United States.
